Sketchbooking

I've been really focusing on my sketchbook these days. I don't really know why, I just feel really inspired lately and want to get out of my comfort zone a little. I don't usually like painting because paint just kind of gets everywhere. It always seems like it's where you don't want it and not where you want it. I fugured that if I practise a lot, I'm bound to get better...or at least that's what I hope.

A bientot,

Je t'aime

It is absolutely amazing outside. I decided to go all out with my florals. I even made myself a little daisy headband to celebrate the sunshine we've been getting lately. Unfortunatly my mood has been dampened by the thought of studying for the SATS that I have to take in less then a month. There are way too many distractions and I just can't seem to find the time to really study. Oh well, I guess I'll just wing it.

Pink Ponies

Tank: TNA, Skirt: AA, Pumps: BCBG, Scarf: Thrifted.
As promised, I have made a new post within 2 days! That is a big achievement for me, I might just go and treat myself with a little present...AA mesh dress? I've been wanting it for a while now but I'm desperately trying to find an occasion to where it to.
Hope all of you lovelies are enjoying the beautiful weather lately!

Floral Baby

Firstly, I would like to apoligize for my lack of posting for the the past two months. Yes, I am a slacker. From now on, I will try and post everyday or at least every 2 days. I have finally found a new job so I can actually afford new clothing. Today, I blew my first paycheck on a pair of amazing BCBG nude heels. I've been looking around for a pair of plain pumps for a while now and I have finally found them! These photos don't really do the heels justice but hopefully I'll be posting a better picture of these babies soon.
Hope ya'll had a great long weekend!
Yours truly,

Icon

Just recently model/designer, Erin Wasson has caught my eye. She is the perfect definition of grunge but with a bit of california-cool. Her signature cutoff shorts are on the top of my list for spring! For Spring '09, Wasson is launching a womenswear collection - Erin Wasson x RVCA - in collaboration with surf and skate lifestyle brand RVCA. So i'm definatly excited to check that out!

Have a Fabulous weekend!

Snow Queen

So my week has been peaceful and relaxing which just so happen to be two of my favorite words. I picked up the lastest issue of UK Vogue and was once again amazed by how much better it is then the American version. In particular, the editorial: Snow Queen, caught my eye. The photos were so enchanting and mesmerizing. They seemed to take you to an entirely different universe. It's not even the clothing that I notice, it's more the set and cool color scheme. My two favorites are probably the one above and the one below. I have no clue why....but I absolutly love it!

Well I hope all you guys had a great March Break!

When I'm up, I can't get Down

I am so unbelievably pumped for March Break. There are only four more days to go and then I'm FREE to do whatever I want. This week, so far, I've been in such an amazing mood. It's not even that good things have been happening, everything just seems so much brighter. Maybe I'm just giddy from too much excitment about March Break. I've decided that this break, I'm going to do something productive with my life...maybe some volenteering, job searching, soul searching (haha), boy searching etc. Tonight, I've started my streak of "productive-ness" by altering a skirt and dress that I recently bought from Value Village. I hemmed the blue pencil skirt and I definatly think I'm going to wear it tomorow. It's definatly bright enough to fit my mood! As for the darker blue flouncy skirt, I cut the entire dress part of it off and shortened the skirt. It kinda reminds me of the miu miu skirts from last spring and the pattern of the skirt brings me back to the fall Luella collection. I'm not a very good sew-er but I thought I did a pretty good job with these 2 items. I also started a drawing that is part of a series that I'm going to complete over March Break as well. It was inspired from a photo of me and my friend, Siobhan. It's such a quirky picture, I couldn't let it pass by. I think I'm going to illustrate it with guache and markers. Hopefully you guys are just as excited for March Break and if not, I hope at least, my ranting has gotten you a little bit pumped!!
Yours Truly,

Alice
