brighter then sunshine

Yesterday night, I attended my school's annual Oscars. I know...pretty lame but for a 17 year old, that's as good as it's going to get. I was really excited to wear my friend's sister's beautiful BCBG dress. Everything about it was gorgeous...the purple lining, the color, the silkiness... Unfortunatly i have to return it but oh well, at least I had that one night of glory. I decided to wear the purple shoes which was pretty risky considering my usual black attire. I've also decided that I'm going to spice up my wardrobe with some color, after all, spring is on it's way!
Hope you guys are enjoying the weekend! (I know I am :))

S.U.R.P.R.I.S.E

wearing: grey dress-made myself, belt-zara

I've decided for the 10th billionth tome to finally back on track with this blog. This long weekend was amazing and it's time to get with it...or so I say now.(check with me about that in a couple days. :) )Last thursday, my friends threw me the best surprise birthday one could ever ask for. I was totally shocked especially because my birthday was a week and a half ago. I promise that I will never be a bitch to them again. I actually wanted to cry because I haven't celebrated my birthday in... god knows how many years! They took me to Mambo and everything was perfect. I only got a couple of pictures but I thought I'd share them with you!

Flashback

The weekend has been pretty uneventful. Although, the good news is that the public transit is back! My social life has been at a horrible halt for the past 2 months and it is finally resuming! My mom just got home from her trip to Beijing and brought me back 2 issues of Vogue China. I can't read the articles but the photos are pretty great. I decided to find some previous editorials from Vogue China and discovered a couple dozen that I really liked. I'm only going to post a couple, but ENJOY!

Let me introduce you to my Double J's

Jesse

Julia
SO tomorow is my birthday! I'm not so much of a birthday girl, but I am turning 17 so I think that's a pretty big deal. Now getting to the point of this post... I wanted to dedicate a post to my two best friends at school; or more commonly known as the Double J's. (haha. no, not really, I just made that up right now.) I love them to death and sitting on the window sill everyday at lunch overlooking the losers in our hallway with them is something that I will never forget. Big Liz and her Halloween costume is something else that, unfortunatly, I will never forget either. Jesse and Julia, you guys are so cute and I'll see you guys tomorow at school! Oh! and check our their blogs!

I've Got the Chills Up My Spine.

Today was a fresh start for me...well only kind of. It was the first day of semester two which usually I am not too keen about. New classes, new teachers and new people. In my opinion, that's a little too much change for one measly day. Today, however was not as bad as I had anticipated. Perhaps a bit of a pessimist...but my classes really weren't all that horrific. I was however extremely dissapointed with my english class. Previous years, I had amazing teachers but this year, let's just say that my teacher is less then pleasant. Cooky? Yes. Intelligent? not so much. Now on a entirely different note, I looked outside my window this morning and realized: WOW! We have a lot of snow! The mounds of snow are taller then me! But that's not hard to beat. I am after all only 5'1 on good days. Because of the chilly weather, I wore my new leather gloves that my lovely friend Julia bought me for Christmas. I know it's a little late from Christmas presents but it's partially my fault being my slacker-ish self, I still have not gotten her presents yet!! Hope y'all had a great day and hopefully less chilly then mine!
Yours Truly,
Alice
P.S: Wearing: French Connection- Coat, Club Monaco- gloves, Vintage boots that I found on Julia's meticulously orgazined shoes shelf, Roots-beanie, Thrifted scarf.
